Answers arrive token by token over NDJSON. Visitors see the assistant thinking in real time.

Index published pages, posts, or any public post type. Each question retrieves matching chunks and injects them into the prompt.
Match site branding
Optional auto-match for logo and accent colour. Dark is the designed look; light is available.
OpenAI and Gemini
Switch provider in admin, paste a key, pick a model. Claude and Ollama are stubbed until those providers go live.
Rate limits that hold
Configurable per-IP limits, message length caps, and stripped tags on input. Secrets never reach JavaScript.

Install the plugin
Upload the
vbridge-ai-chat-assistantzip from Plugins → Add New, then activate. A vBridge Chat menu appears in wp-admin, with settings for vBridge AI Chat Assistant. -

Add an API key
Choose OpenAI or Gemini, paste the matching key, pick a model such as
gpt-4o-miniorgemini-flash-latest. -

Index your content
Turn on website knowledge, select post types, and click Re-index. A background reindex also runs after you publish.

Let visitors ask
The floating button appears site-wide. Each message retrieves the best chunks and streams an answer grounded in your pages.

Secrets stay on the server. Every request is checked. Abuse has a ceiling.
AES-256 at rest
API keys are encrypted with AES-256-CBC using WordPress salts. Leave a key field blank on save and the existing secret is kept.
Nonce-protected REST
Streaming chat hits a nonce-protected REST route. Keys are never in the front-end script.
Input and rate controls
Per-IP rate limiting is configurable. Message length is capped. HTML tags are stripped before they reach the model.

vBridge AI Chat Assistant is a vBridge Tech Ltd product, licensed under GPLv2 or later. You pay OpenAI or Gemini for model usage. vBridge does not sit in the middle of that billing.

Who developed vBridge AI Chat Assistant?
vBridge Tech Ltd. We are a UK software studio (Borehamwood) with delivery in India, founded in 2012. This plugin is our product — designed and built in-house.
Which AI providers work today?
OpenAI and Gemini are live. Claude and Ollama are already in the provider architecture as stubs until those integrations ship.
Does it read my WordPress pages?
Yes, when website knowledge is enabled. You choose which public post types to index. On each visitor message the plugin retrieves the top matching chunks and adds them to the prompt.
What does WordPress need?
WordPress 6.5 or newer and PHP 8.2 or newer. Composer is not required on the live site — the plugin ships with a built-in autoloader.
How is chat data handled?
On this demo page, messages go to OpenAI or Gemini so the assistant can reply. We do not keep chat transcripts on this server after the answer streams. If you install the plugin, you are usually the controller for visitor chats on your site. Read the Privacy Policy.
